The Blackseed's Barnaby Weir and Bret McKenzie step forward under their solo alias Flash Harry and The Video Kid with the stellar tunes "Alright", from last year's "Flash Harry" CD (CREC1006), and "Dawn Skate-88". This EP includes a great remix of “Alright” by Flash Harry and Fat Freddy’s Drop hornman Tonie Naironi, while the flip sees The Video Kid - also one half of The Flight of the Conchords - present two cuts of warm-singalong-downbeat goodness in the form of “Dawnskate-88” and “DJ’z Girlfriend”. “Dawnskate-88” also gets the remix treatment by fellow Capital label mate Jet Jaguar, thereby inventing a new genre : folk-electronica. "Dawnskate-88” also has a video currently receiving airplay on C4.
